Review by hotel critic
Nestled amidst the breathtaking mountains of Rishikesh, Hobbit House Hostel is an idyllic retreat for anyone seeking both adventure and tranquility. My recent stay there, accompanied by my fiancé, was nothing short of magical. The warm, family-like atmosphere created by the staff immediately put us at ease; they weren’t just employees but true caretakers, always ready to assist. The hostel’s rooftop terrace buzzed with vibrant chatter from fellow travelers, each sharing enthralling tales from their adventures around the globe. After a day of exploring the local sights, including the nearby Ram Jhula, we relished indulging in a delicious vegetarian breakfast while enjoying the serene garden views. Our spacious dorm room was a pleasant surprise, equipped with sockets, lights, and plenty of room to move—quite the contrast from many hostels I’ve visited before. One of the best features was the fully equipped communal kitchen, which allowed us to whip up our own meals whenever we pleased. the stunning mountain vistas from our room's balcony were the cherry on top. If you're yearning for a peaceful escape amidst nature while enjoying the company of like-minded backpackers, Hobbit House Hostel is surely a place I’d recommend wholeheartedly!
